FLOCK’s International dance festival
An international gathering of dance and artistic exchange set within the historic beauty of Schwäbisch Hall, Germany

This autumn, FLOCK is thrilled to be hosting their first international dance festival in Schwäbisch Hall Germany!
With a focus on choreography, the festival will feature two mixed bill performances of new works chosen via application. Alongside this there will be performances by the FLOCK company, film screenings, workshops, and public conversations with artists, creating an intimate environment for both audiences and makers.
An open call for choreographers is now live!
We invite established and emerging choreographers to submit finished works (5–20 minutes) in solo, duet, trio, or small group formats (up to four dancers). Selected artists will present their work as part of the festival program and engage with the local community through workshops and post-performance conversations.
Choreographers receive a stipend of $1,000 – $4,000, depending on the scale of the work, to support artist pay and travel. Housing will be provided.
The festival is designed as a space for interaction and celebration, between international artists and local audiences, movement and historic settings, performance and dialogue. FLOCK is excited to welcome artists into their creative home of Schwäbisch Hall where they are company in residence with the Freilichtspiele.
