FLOCK’s International dance festival

An international gathering of dance and artistic exchange set within the historic beauty of Schwäbisch Hall, Germany

This autumn, FLOCK is thrilled to host our first international dance festival in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany.

With a focus on choreography, the festival features two mixed-bill performances of new works selected through an international application process. Eight contemporary companies from six countries - Germany, Israel, Taiwan, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the USA - will present a cross-section of contemporary dance across two evenings at the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall’s Globe Theater. Alongside these performances will be work by the FLOCK company, film screenings, workshops, and public conversations with artists, creating an intimate environment for both audiences and makers.

The festival is designed as a space for interaction and celebration between international artists and local audiences, movement and historic settings, performance and dialogue. FLOCK is excited to welcome artists into our creative home of Schwäbisch Hall, where we are company in residence with the Freilichtspiele.
